TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE (WATER TECHNOLOGY AND WATER SOLUTIONS COMPANY)– RWANDA

Career Options Africa Group is a HR Consultancy firm specializing in Recruitment, HR outsourcing and Immigration help with Africa with offices in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Nigeria, South Africa and South Sudan.
Our client, a Pan-African water technology company focused on water treatment, water quality, laboratory solutions and related engineering services, is seeking a Technical Sales Representative, to be based in Rwanda.
THE JOB
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES .
- perform market mapping and research to assess the Rwandan market and detect key market segments and opportunities.
- detect and create a pipeline of potential customers and business opportunities.
- Generate and create initial business leads through market research, networking and direct engagement with prospective clients.
- Initiate relationships and engagement with potential customers and key stakeholders.
- Assess customer needs, market demand and competitive dynamics.
- deliver regular market intelligence and insights on market potential, opportunities and challenges.
- assist the development of the Company’s go-to-market strategy for Rwanda.
QUALIFICATIONS
The job holder should have the following qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma (HD) in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Process Engineering, or a closely related field
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience in technical sales or field service engineering within the water and wastewater treatment industry.
- Proven experience selling water and wastewater treatment products, chemicals, equipment, or related technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of the Rwandan water, wastewater, and industrial markets, preferably supported by an existing network of decision-makers and industry contacts within Rwanda Water Board, beverage and dairy producers, manufacturing industries, engineering consultants, EPC contractors, and water treatment companies.
- Strong ability to detect and qualify potential customers, competitors and market opportunities.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING THE RIGHT PERSON
We are offering the successful candidate a monthly basic salary ranging from RWF 1,000,000 – RWF 1,300,000.
Incentive Structure: Competitive performance-based commission on target achievement and key account acquisitions.
