As we continue to expand our products, services, and customer base, The organization is seeking a motivated, proactive, and results-oriented Business Development & Client Relations Officer to join our growing team.

Job Purpose

The Business Development & Client Relations Officer will be tasked with identifying new business opportunities, promoting the company's products and services, acquiring new customers, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

The successful candidate will also assist tender preparation, organize customer feedback, and work closely with the technical team to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth.

The organization is seeking someone who takes initiative, understands customer needs, and can turn business opportunities into measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales

• detect and pursue new business opportunities in public and private sectors.
• Promote ISHEMA HUB's technology products and services to potential customers.
• Generate leads, arrange client meetings, and perform product presentations and demonstrations.
• produce commercial proposals, quotations, and business presentations.
• Follow up on prospective customers and convert opportunities into sales.
• detect potential partnerships and new market opportunities.
• keep an updated sales pipeline and customer database.
• Work toward achieving agreed sales and business development targets.

2. Client Relationship Management

• Build and keep strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Act as a primary contact for routine customer inquiries and follow-ups.
• Regularly engage customers to understand their needs and satisfaction levels.
• Collect customer feedback and communicate improvement requests to the technical team.
• organize customer complaints and assist requests to ensure timely resolution.
• assist customer onboarding, product training, and adoption.
• detect opportunities to offer additional products and services to existing customers.
• keep accurate records of customer communications and follow-up activities.

3. Tender & Proposal Coordination

• track public and private tender opportunities relevant to the company's services.
• evaluate tender announcements, requirements, and submission deadlines.
• organize the preparation of administrative, technical, and financial bid documents.
• Work closely with management and technical teams during tender preparation.
• Ensure tender submissions are complete and submitted on time.
• keep organized records of tender opportunities, submissions, and results.
• Follow up on tender clarifications, evaluations, and contract opportunities.

4. Marketing & Product Promotion

• assist marketing initiatives to increase awareness of ISHEMA HUB's products and services.
• help with preparing product presentations, company profiles, and promotional materials.
• assist digital marketing campaigns and social media activities.
• detect relevant business events, networking opportunities, and potential partnerships.
• Gather market information and deliver insights into customer needs and competitor activities.

5. Reporting & Business Coordination

• produce weekly and monthly business development reports.
• Track sales opportunities, customer engagement, and commercial activities.
• organize customer requests and commitments with internal teams.
• track assigned activities and ensure timely follow-up.
• deliver recommendations to enhance customer experience and business performance.
• Perform other related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Information Technology, or a related field.

Professional Experience

• At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, marketing, or customer relationship management.
• Experience working in technology, software, telecommunications, fintech, or IT services is an added advantage.
• Experience preparing business proposals, quotations, or tender documentation is desirable.
• Familiarity with Rwanda's public procurement procedures is an advantage.

• Strong sales, negotiation, and customer relationship management abilities.
• Ability to detect business opportunities and convert leads into customers.
• Good understanding of technology products and digital services.
• Ability to explain technology solutions to non-technical customers.
• Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
• Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Ability to produce professional business documents and reports.
• Ability to work independently and meet agreed performance targets.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Kinyarwanda. French is an added advantage.
• High standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
