VACANCY – CASHIER (National Staff)
COUNTRY PROGRAM MISSION:
Alight Rwanda, formerly known as the American Refugee Committee, has been a key player in delivering impactful humanitarian programs since 1994. PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Cashier will be responsible of collecting daily cash from outpatient and inpatient service users.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Submit daily handover the final sum of cash collected to the principal cashier for deposit to bank account of health facility. registration payments
- Collect all revenue collected on daily basis from health facility clients/patient
- Deposit all revenues collected to Chief cashier/ accountant
- Deposit all revenues collected to the bank account of the health facility
- Check Receipts Filling of consultations, medicines, complementary tests
- Coordinate the activities of cashiers and reassure entry operations of the fund.
- Perform other related duties as required by his/her supervisor
Minimum qualifications:
- A2 /A1 in accountancy or commerce and accountancy
Required Knowledge
- Working knowledge of principles cashier, practices and procedures
- Working knowledge of business law
- Working knowledge of the application of data processing to accounting operations
- Some knowledge of auditing principles and practices
- Some knowledge of office practices and systems.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Commitment to following financial policies, internal controls, cash-handling procedures, and organizational requirements to ensure the proper use and safeguarding of funds.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Accountant and other departments to support timely financial reporting, cash reconciliation, and efficient financial operations
