Regulatory Reporting Officer at Bank of Kigali

Finance Department/ Financial Reporting Unit

Key Accountabilities

Prepare financial returns of the bank in accordance with statutory and other local requirements and also within the agreed deadlines for internal and external purposes.
Prepare and account for month end adjustments (Accruals), depreciation and amortization to better match the revenues and expenses.
Prepare regulatory reports in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and the applicable laws and regulations in Rwanda to ensure timeliness in submission
Provide feedback on non-compliance to statutory requirements and process to recommend remedies
Respond effectively to any queries that may arise from internal parties, auditors and other regulatory bodies that concern the reports prepared
Provide administrative support in the opening of statutory accounts to ensure the accounts comply with the BK and BNR requirements;
Participate in the process of automation of regulatory reports to enhance efficiency levels in the Bank’s operations
Monitor daily balance sheet and P&L movement to inform reports on the Banks compliance with the regulations
Review daily regulatory reports prepared by Assistant Regulatory Officer to provide input on information for monthly compliance reports.
Implement audit recommendations on regulatory reporting to ensure the bank is compliant with national and international standards.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years working experience in finance related field

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance /Accounting or any related field from a recognized Institution.
Association of Charted Certified Accountant (ACCA)/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an added advantage
Knowledge, Skills and competencies
Computer Literacy with advanced knowledge on Ms Excel
Knowledge of agency banking and other digital channel products
Reporting
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
Budgeting knowledge
Accountancy and Finance
Analytical skills
